Recovery run to beat the attacker and block the shot


Description

In this session we are focusing on a recovery run to beat the attacker and block the shot. The drill begins with player 1 passing the ball to player 2. Player 1 then looks to sprint across, whilst player 2 looks to dribble across. Player 2 looks to shoot towards goal as soon as they turn round the cone, whilst player 1 aims to cover ground quickly to enable themselves to block the shot. The players then swap over to repeat. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least three times.
