Agility to block the pass and transition to cross


Description

In this session we are focusing on agility to block the pass and transition to cross. The drill begins with the player passing the ball to the coach before moving across the agility ladder. After the player moves through the ladder the coach looks to pass the ball into the goal/gate with the player springing out to block. As soon as the player makes the block they look to move around the goal to accelerate onto the ball played by the coach to deliver into a dangerous area. If you are working with two players you could have one player attacking the cross instead of the coach. Each set should consist of 3 - 5 reps and should be completed at least three times.
