Jockeying back towards goal to defend the cross
Description
In this session we are focusing on jockeying back towards goal to defend the cross. The drill begins with player jockeying through the cones. The player should check their shoulders and retain a lower body position whilst staying light on their feet. Once the player moves through the final cone they look to adapt their body shape to face the ball and assess the space in the box. The coach then crosses the ball into the box for the player to attack and clear away. Each set should consist of 3 - 5 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
