Movement to step and drop to head and play forward


Description

In this session we are focusing on moving to step and drop to head and play forward. The drill begins with the player moving to the cone/pole ahead of them before then transitioning to back pedal to the cone behind. When back pedalling the player should be side on. The player then looks to move around the cone to attack the ball and head clear. Once the player has headed the ball, they look to move back around the cone to receive the ball and play into the goal/gate. The player should head the ball high and follow through once they make contact. Each set should consist of 3 - 5 reps and should be completed at least three times.
