Agility and reactions to step/drop to intercept the ball
Description
In this session we are focusing on our agility and reactions to step/drop to intercept the ball. The drill begins with the player moving across the ladder before the coach tells the player to either step or drop to intercept. The coach will either throw the ball to the feet or the head for the player to intercept. Once the player has intercepted the ball they move back to the agility ladder to repeat. The player should ensure that they move through the ladder with their heels off the ground, pump the arms and then ensure that they face the ball when stepping/dropping. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed at least three times.
