Agility and quickness to head, intercept and play forward


Description

In this session we are focusing on our agility and quick feet to head, intercept and play forward. The drill begins with the player moving through the agility ladder to then head the ball thrown by the coach. The player then moves in front of the mannequin/pole to intercept the ball. Once the player has intercepted the ball, they look to move back round the mannequin to then meet the ball and play forward into the goal/gate. The player should ensure that they stay light on their feet and follow through the ball when heading and intercepting. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
