Receive to play down the line and transition to defend the cross


Description

In this session we are focusing on receiving to play down the line and transitioning to defend the cross. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who sets back and moves across the agility ladder to repeat. Once the player has set the ball back for the second time, they look to scan and drop to receive the ball and open out to play down the line. As soon as the player has passed the ball, they look to transition to defend the cross and clear the ball. Each set should consist of 3 - 5 reps and should be completed at least two times per player on each side.
