Fast feet to move, block and transition to play out

Description

In this session we are focusing on fast feet to move, block and transition to play out. The drill begins with the player working in the agility ladder. The first gap of the ladder is used, with the player stepping in with both feet, followed then by stepping out either side, before stepping back to the middle and back out. On the coaches instruction, the play moves to a cone, to then move across the goal to block the shot. As soon as the player blocks the shot, they look to react and move back to the cone to receive the ball, open out and play forward. The player should create space to enable themselves to receive on the back foot. Each set should consist of 3 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
