Heading clear to step up the pitch and transition

Description

In this session we are focusing on heading clear to step up the pitch and transition to play forward. The drill begins with the player behind the mannequin/pole. The coach then throws the ball up for the player to attack head clear. The player then looks to step up quickly and through the cones to intercept before moving around the cones to transition to receive and play forward. When the player steps up the pitch, they should cover ground quickly and slow down before moving through the cones. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least two times per side.
