Changing body shape to face the ball and block the pass

Description

In this session we are focusing on changing our body shape to face the ball and block the pass. The drill begins with the player facing away from the ball. On the coaches instruction, the player will turn and then push across the block. When the player turns, they look to use the outside foot and side of the body to push off to the other side. For instance, if the player is moving left to right, they look to turn first on the left shoulder, to instantly face the ball and then push across. They should stay light on their feet to enable themselves to push across quickly. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed at least three times.
