Quick reactions to travel back towards goal
Description
In this session we are focusing on reacting quickly to travel back towards goal and clear. The drill begins with the player moving through the agility hurdles/ladders. As the player moves out of the final hurdle, the coach then instructs the player which side to move towards. The player then looks to react quickly to step out and then drop backwards. As the player moves across the goal, the coach plays a ball towards goal for the player to clear away from goal. The player should be light on their feet and retain a body shape to see the ball whilst being able to move quickly when moving backwards. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed at least three times.
