Agile and quick feet to drop and step up to head clear


Description

In this session we are focusing on our players agility and quick feet to drop and step to head the ball clear. The drill begins with the player moving across the agility ladder, before dropping behind the cone/pole. As the player moves around the cone, the coach then throws the ball up for the player to attack and head clear. The player then steps up to the cone ahead, before back pedalling to the ladder to repeat. The player should ensure they stay light on their feet and make sure they can always see the ball when dropping and stepping. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed at least three times.
