Full back opening out and stepping up the pitch movements
Description
In this session we are focusing on a full back specific drill looking at opening out and stepping up the pitch movements. The drill begins with the player moving off the cone to receive the ball off the coach to open out and play forward through the gate. The player then accelerates to the furthest cone, to then back pedal to the middle cone, were they receive the ball to take across the body and play forward again. The player then accelerates forward through the gate. The player should ensure their touch takes them into space to play forward. Each set should consist of 3 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
