Speed and agility to recover quickly and defend the goal
Description
In this session we are focusing on speed and agility to recover and defend the goal. The drill begins with the player moving through the agility ladder, pumping their arms and staying light on their feet. As they move out of the ladder, they then travel to the poles/cones to weave in and out, before the coach then instructs the player which cone to move around by saying a number. The player looks to travel around the pole quickly to get goal side and then clear the ball away from goal. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
