Stepping out to head clear & react quickly to block
Description
In this session we are focusing on our players ability to step out to head the ball clear, and their reaction to cover ground quickly. The drill begins with the player moving out to one of the poles/cones infront to touch which signals the coach/player to throw the ball up for the player to attack and head clear. Once the player heads the ball clear, they look to react to the opposite side to clear. The player/coach will pass the ball towards the goal as the player crosses the central pole. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed at least three times.
