Sharp, fast feet to block


Description

In this session we are focusing on our players ability to move quickly to block passes. The drill begins with the player moving through the agility ladders sideways. As the player moves out of the ladder, the coach then looks to pass the ball into the small sided goal. Cones or poles can be used as an alternative to a goal. The player then moves across to repeat. When the player moves through the poles, they should aim to pump their arms and stay light on their feet to move across quickly to then build momentum to push out and block. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
