Intercepting to play forward

Description

In this session we are focusing on our players ability to intercept and transition to play forward. The drill begins with the player moving towards the pole/cone infront to receive a ball in the air of the coach to clear. The player then moves behind the deepest pole, before moving out to a wide pole to receive a pass and play forward first time. We are looking for the player to step in and win the ball, before dropping back into position before transitioning. The player should always punch through the ball when passing, pushing through the ball after contact. Each set should consist of 4 -6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
