Get out to the ball and travel quickly to block
Description
In this session we are focusing on getting out to the ball and travelling quickly to block. The drill begins with the player moving out to touch the ball that the coach holds out. The player then travels quickly round one of the cones to then block or head the ball clear depending on how the coach plays the ball. The player should ensure they can always see the ball when travelling backwards and keep their body shape open. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
