Open out to play wide and defend the ball into the box
Description
In this session we are focusing on opening out to play wide and defend the ball into the box. The drill begins with the player moving to the cone behind to receive the ball on the back foot, touch into space and play into the goal/gate. The player then moves round the cone and attacks the ball played in by the coach to clear away. The player should look to clear away from central areas. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
