Open out to play forward, quick movement to head clear
Description
In this session we are focusing on opening out to play forward, quick movement to head clear. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who opens out on the back foot and passes into the goal/gate. The player then moves round the cone as quickly as they can to then attack a ball thrown in the air to head clear. The player should attack the ball as it starts to come down and not when it is rising. Each set should consist of 3 -5 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
