Close down, jockey away from goal and head clear
Description
In this practice we are focusing on closing down, jockeying away from goal and head clear. The drill begins with the coach passing the ball to the player who takes a touch and passes back to the coach. The player then closes the coach down and jockeys the coach away from goal. The coach then shouts ‘GO’ for the player to move round the goal and then attack the ball thrown in the air to head clear. The player should ensure they keep a low body shape and stay light on their feet and on the move when jockeying. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
