Stepping, dropping, control, jockeying and blocking

Description

In this practice we are focusing on our stepping, dropping, control, jockeying and blocking. The drill begins with the player stepping in and then dropping off to control the ball thrown up by the coach and then pass back. The player then sprints across to the cone and then transitions to jockey showing down the line until the coach shouts ‘Turn’ for the player to turn to face inside and move round the cone. Once the player moves round the cone the coach will shoot for the player to block. The player should stay low when jockeying and always be on the move. Each set should consist of 2 -4 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
