Stepping in to intercept and quickness to recover and block
Description
In this practice we are focusing on stepping in to intercept and quickness to recover and block. The drill begins with the player stepping in to intercept a ball thrown in by the coach. Once the player intercepts the ball they look to recover and block the shot at shot. It’s important the players body shape allows them to see the ball when they are moving back towards goal. They should stay light on their feet at all times. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
