Closing down to jockey, quickness to recover and block


Description

In this session we are focusing on closing down to jockey, quickness to recover and block. The drill begins with the coach passing the ball to the player who takes a touch and passes to the coach. The player then closes the coach down to jockey as the coach dribbles towards them. Once they reach the cone the player then moves to recover and block a shot. When the player is jockeying they should show the player one way and retain a low body position throughout. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
