Stepping in to intercept
Description
In this session we are focusing on our players ability to step in to intercept the ball, before moving back towards goal to clear. The drill can either be a coaches instruction, or player ownership. The player starts on one of the deeper three poles, before moving out to one of the four higher poles to intercept the ball dictated by the coach. Upon intercepting, the player travels back towards goal to clear a ball away from goal. The player should look to start the next rep at the nearest deep pole to where they finished. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps, and should be completed at least three times.
