Moving across and round sharply to block the shot
Description
In this session we are focusing on moving across and round sharply to block the shot. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who takes a touch and passes back to the coach. The player then moves towards and round the middle cone making sure they are always facing the ball. Once the player moves round the cone the coach then shoots towards goal for the player to block. The player then moves to the other side to repeat. The player needs to stay light on their feet when moving and don’t plant the heels as they will be forced to stretch for the ball. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
