Adjusting the body shape when changing direction
Description
In this session we are focusing on adjusting the body shape when changing direction. Each cone should be numbered. The drill begins with the coach shouting a number, with the player then moving to that cone. The coach will continue to say a number and the player will adjust the body shape to move to that cone but enable themselves to see the ball at all times. When the coach shouts ‘GO’ the player travels back towards goal to clear the ball which will either be thrown in the air to head clear or played across the floor to block. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
