Open out to play, head and drop to block


Description

In this session we are focusing on opening out to play and stepping to head and drop to block. The drill begins with the player on the outside passing the ball to the player in the middle who moves off the cone to receive on the back foot, open out and play to the coach. The player then steps to the cone and drops off to then head the ball clear. The player then moves back round the middle cone and across to block the pass. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least three times per player.
