Jockeying, body position and recovery runs to block

Description

In this session we are focusing on our jockeying, body position and recovery runs to block. The drill begins with the coach dribbling at the player. The player looks to show the coach one way and force away from the centre of the pitch. When the coach shouts ‘GO’ the player then reacts to recover round one of the wide cones and towards goal to block the shot. The player should always be able to see the ball so their body shape should be open. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least three times.
