Body shape to travel and block the cross and head clear

Description

In this session we are focusing on our body shape to travel and block the cross and head clear. The drill begins with player 1 travelling back centrally whilst enabling themselves to the see the ball (from the coach). Player 1 then defends a cross, looking to clear away . Player 1 then reacts to step out and attack a ball thrown from player 2 to head clear. The body shape is important to be able to see the ball and opposition player in a game. Each set should consist of 3 - 5 reps and should be completed at least two times per player each side.
