Intercepting, jockeying and body shape to attack the header


Description

In this session we are focusing on intercepting, jockeying and body shape to attack the header. The drill begins with the coach throwing the ball in the air for the player to intercept and play back into the coaches hands either side of the pole/mannequin. The player then jockeys across the pitch whilst retaining a body shape to see the ball and then attack the ball thrown in the air. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
