Receiving skills and transition to get across the goal and block
Description
In this session we are focusing on our receiving skills and transition to get across the goal and block. The drills begins with the coach passing to the player either side of the cone for them to set back. After the second set the player looks to scan and drop to receive and open out to play back to the coach. The player then looks to travel across goal to block a shot from their teammate. Once the player makes the block they look to travel back across the goal to block a shot from the coach. The player should ensure that the blocks clear away from goal and away from the middle to avoid a rebound. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least two times each side per player.
