Step up to intercept, moving quickly to receive and switch play
Description
In this session we are focusing on stepping up to intercept, moving quickly to receive and switch play. The drill begins with the player stepping up to intercept a ball bounced in by the coach. The player then transitions to drop back before moving to the outside cone. As the player reaches the outside cone the coach passes the ball to the player who aims to control and switch play across into the goal/gate. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
