Controlling the ball and moving quickly to block


Description

In this session we are focusing on controlling the ball and moving quickly to block. The drill begins with the coach throwing the ball in the air for the player to control. The player then moves back to goal quickly to block a shot. Once the player blocks the shot they look to race the coach to the ball they controlled to clear away before the coach can shoot. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
