Clearing the ball to Transition

Description

In this session we are focusing on our players ability to transition from Defence to Attack. The drill begins with the player backpedaling beyond the furthest middle pole/cone. As they approach the pole the coach throws the ball up for the player to head. Once the player wins the header they look to sprint out to one of the side poles infront, as if they are closing down an opposition player. The player then transitions by backpedaling to the wide pole and receives the ball from the coach, then taking the ball across their body and passing through the gate infront. The player then moves back to the middle before repeating on the opposite side. The drills should last for 30-60 seconds, and should be completed at least three times.
