Jockeying, retrieve the ball and play to defend 1 v 1


Description

In this session we are focusing on jockeying, retrieve the ball and play to defend 1 v 1. The drill begins with the coach dribbling and the player looking to jockey. The player looks to focus on their body shape, angles and distances. Once the player reaches the cone, they look to move round and retrieve the ball played by the coach. The player then passes the ball back to the coach to then close down and prevent the coach/player from dribbling through one of the gates. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least three times
