Receive and play to transition to intercept and heading


Description

In this session we are focusing on receiving to play and transition to intercept and heading. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who opens out and plays back to the coach before stepping up to intercept. The player then transitions to back pedal around the deepest cone to then attack the ball thrown in the air to head clear. The players body shape should be on a side angle when travelling backwards. Each set should consist of 3 - 5 reps and should be completed at least three times.
