Open out to play forward, reaction to travel and block


Description

In this session we are focusing on opening out to play forward, reaction to travel and block. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who moves off the cone to receive on the back foot to touch out the feet and play forward into the goal/gate. The player then travels quickly to the opposite cone before moving back across to block the shot/pass. The player should stay light on their feet and ensure that they push off to be able to move quickly to block. Each set should consist of 3 - 5 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
