Travelling quickly to head clear and step out to intercept
Description
In this session we are focusing on travelling quickly to head clear and step out to intercept. The drill begins with the player backpedaling on a side angle to the wide cone where they will head the ball clear thrown up by the coach. The player then reacts to step back up to the start cone to intercept the ball with the feet. The player should ensure when they attack the header that they follow through and time the jump. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
