Body shape to step and drop to clear the ball


Description

In this session we are focusing on body shape to step and drop to clear the ball. The drill begins with the coach instructing the player to move to one of the two cones ahead. The cones can be numbered 1,2 and 3. When the player reaches a cone the coach will tell them to move to another cone or throw the ball in for the player to intercept/head clear. The players body shape is important when dropping to be on a side angle. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
