Changing movements and direction sharply to intercept the ball
Description
In this session we are focusing on changing movements and direction sharply to intercept the ball. The drill begins with the player stepping up centrally to intercept the ball. The player then looks to transition to backpedal around the cone on their right shoulder before then stepping out to the cone ahead and then transitioning back around the middle cone. Body shape and scanning are important areas to focus on aswell as footwork. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least three times.
