Step and drop to head clear and react to block the shot
Description
In this session we are focusing on stepping and dropping to head clear and react to block the shot. The drill begins with the player stepping up to touch the ball before dropping to head the ball clear which the coach looks to throw over the player. As soon as the player has headed clear they look to react to block the shot on goal. The player should make sure that the shot is cleared away from goal and not put back into danger. Each set should consist of 3 - 5 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
