Positive touch to play out and travelling quickly to block

Description

In this session we are focusing on a positive touch to play out and travelling quickly to block. The drill begins with the coach passing the ball square to the player who looks to adapt the body shape to open out and touch into space to play out. The player then looks to travel quickly around the cone to then block the pass. The drills is then completed on the opposite side. When making the block the player should make sure the standing leg isn’t planted so that they aren’t stretching for the ball. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
