Open out to play, step and attack the ball
Description
In this session we are focusing on opening out to play, step and attack the ball. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who moves off the cone to receive on the back foot to open out and play. The player then steps up to attack the ball thrown in the air to head before transitioning quickly to move round the cone to intercept with the feet ensuring the ball goes back into the coaches hands. The player should keep their eyes on the ball and time their jump to meet and head through the ball. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
