Reacting to play around the defender into space to finish


Description

In this session we are focusing on reacting to play around the defender into space to finish. The drill begins with the coach passing into the player who sets back first time. This is repeated until the coach shouts a number. Number 1 and 2 mean the player sets back, and then moves on the outside of the cone/pole to receive and finish first time. Number 3 sees the player receive and dribble around the highest cone, before passing to the coach who sets the ball into space for the player to move onto to finish. The player should ensure that they stay light on their feet and ready to react to play and move quickly. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed at least three times.
