Receive on the back foot to touch, turn and finish
Description
In this session we are focusing on receiving on the back foot to touch, turn, set and finish. The drill begins with the player pulling off the cone/pole to receive the ball on the back foot. The player then looks to open out before turning back and passing back to the coach. To turn, the player can use whatever turn they like (V touch, Cryuff turn, Chop). The coach will then set the ball into space for the player to move past the pole (defender) to accelerate onto the ball and finish first time. The players should ensure that when they take the touch away from the body, that it is on an angle to enable them to turn smoothly. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
