Checking in to receive the ball and touch to finish


Description

In this session we are focusing on checking in to receive the ball and touch to finish. The drill begins with the player starting behind the cone/pole. The player then looks to check in to receive the ball. The player can either push off to receive on the back foot and take the ball forward, or drop infront of the cone to take the ball inside and finish. Once the player has finished, they look to move to the next cone and repeat. The players movement should be sharp and they should treat the cone/pole as a defender. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least three times.
