Combine first time to set into space and finish


Description

In this session we are focusing on combining first time to set into space and finish. The drill begins with the coach playing into the red player, who sets the ball back across to the coach. The coach then passes the ball into the blue player, who then looks to play first time into the red player before spinning off to receive the ball in space and finish. The players should look to finish first time unless the ball set to them is played too close to the body in which case they can take a touch. The players should stay alert and ready to receive the ball to retain the tempo. The players swap over after each finish. Each set should consist of 3 - 6 reps and should be completed at least two times per side.
