Receiving with back to goal to turn and finish


Description

In this session we are focusing on receiving with our back to goal to turn and finish. The drill begins with the coach passing into player who looks to set back first time each time. When the coach commands the player to drop, they look to move backwards towards to mannequin/pole. The coach then looks to pass the ball into the player, who aims to turn quickly by touching into space to then finish. The player should aim to use the outside of the foot to turn, or the instep of the outside foot. If the ball is moving on the right side, the left instep and vice versa. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed at least three times.
