Reacting quickly to move onto the ball and finish


Description

In this session we are focusing on our players ability to react quickly to move onto the ball and finish. The drill begins with the player facing the goal and staying ready to react by moving on the spot. The coach will shout a number of a cone for the player to move towards, before moving back around the mannequin/pole. As the player moves around the mannequin, the coach will play the ball into space for the player to move onto and finish first time. The player looks to keep their movements sharp and finish low and into the corner of the net. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
